Learn More about Photobiomodulation
(Red Light Therapy)

The Science

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also called red light therapy or low-level laser therapy (LLLT), is a safe treatment that uses special light to help your body heal. Our advanced whole-body pulsing pods use all four known healing red light wavelengths.

PBM works by shining light at certain wavelengths onto cells and tissues, helping them work better and heal faster. Here’s how it can help:

  1. Better Cell Function: PBM helps your cells produce more energy and stay healthy.

  2. Less Inflammation: PBM can reduce swelling, which helps with many health issues and speeds up healing.

  3. Pain Relief: PBM can help reduce pain from arthritis, muscle issues, and nerve problems.

  4. Healing and Recovery: PBM helps wounds heal faster and repairs tissues, especially after surgery or injury.

  5. Better Blood Flow: PBM can improve blood circulation, bringing more oxygen and nutrients to your cells.

  6. Brain Health: PBM might help with memory, mood, and thinking skills, and can be helpful for depression, PTSD, and anxiety.

We've seen great results for athletic recovery, depression, concussion relief, PTSD, anxiety, faster recovery after surgery, less arthritis pain, better memory, more energy, better sleep, and much more.

The Q8 Regen Pod

At The Wellness Center, we use the Q8 Regen Pod for red light therapy to give you the best results.

The Q8 Regen Pod is the top choice for red light therapy.

It’s the only pod that has all four healing red light wavelengths, plus pulsing hertz, and can be customized to fit your needs.

Our Published Studies

Positive Changes in Spit Uric Acid and Enzyme Activity in a Light Therapy Study:

Light therapy, called PBM, has many health benefits, but scientists are still figuring out how it works. In this study, researchers looked at spit (saliva) to see how PBM might help with stress in the body. Eighteen people did six sessions of PBM and gave saliva samples before the first session and after each of the six sessions. Scientists measured things in the saliva, like uric acid, an enzyme called APEH, and total protein. APEH is new for this kind of research. The study found that 67% of people with high uric acid had less of it after the sessions, and 57% of people with low APEH had more of it after the sessions. This study shows PBM modulates body stress.
