Where Do You Find Peace in a Loud World?

In a world that feels increasingly loud, filled with anger, division, and constant noise, it can be hard to know where to land. Add in artificial intelligence blurring the lines between what is real and what is not, and many of us are left feeling unsettled, overstimulated, and tired.
So where do you find peace?
My name is Laura, and I am a co-owner of The Wellness Center. I do not pretend to have all the answers, and I know what works for one person may not work for another. But I do believe we can learn from each other. Sometimes peace starts with borrowing a small idea and seeing how it feels in your own life.
Today, I want to share a few of my quiet, safe places.
A Simple Morning Ritual
My favorite moment of the day happens in the morning, before the noise really begins.
I brew pure chocolate, add a high-quality chocolate protein powder, a small amount of milk, and sip it slowly while I set my intentions for the day. No phone. No rushing. Just warmth, stillness, and breath.
For me, this is a form of meditation.
At first, I just knew it felt good. Over time, I became curious why my body responded so strongly to this ritual, so I started researching.
Pure chocolate, especially when brewed traditionally, contains natural compounds that gently support mood, circulation, and focus without the sharp spike and crash of caffeine. When combined with protein and healthy fats, it feels grounding rather than stimulating.
It is fascinating how something so simple can feel so regulating.
My basic recipe:
Chocolate brewed from Chocolate Alchemy
½ cup dry brewed
32 oz water
Preferred Keyto Collagen chocolate protein, 1 scoop
Fairlife lactose-free whole milk, about ¼ cup
Red Light as Self-Care
Believe it or not, I originally bought my first ReGen red light pod purely for self-care.
I do not use it every day. My goal is every other day. I absolutely notice when I do not take the time to rejuvenate my body and mind this way. I am still amazed at how regenerative it truly feels for me, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Sometimes self-care is not about doing more. Sometimes it is about remembering to pause and restore.
Mental and Emotional Processing
For my mental and emotional work, I rely on The Work by Byron Katie.
There are many principles involved, but the ones that ground me most are staying in my own lane, letting go of the illusion that I can control every outcome, and trusting that the universe I live in is set up for me to succeed.
I work on giving myself grace for what I do not yet know, and even for what I did know and maybe did not act on. Mistakes are okay. Growth is allowed. Learning is ongoing.
There is so much depth to this work, and if you are curious, you can learn more at thework.com.
Loving the People Around Me
I do my very best to love myself and to love the people around me well. Especially my family. They are the most important people in my life.
That includes my husband, my best friend.
Hugs, checking in, talking things through, keeping wavelengths clean and clear, making space for alone time and together time. All of it matters more than we often realize.
Ending the Day with Humor
At night, this may sound silly, but right before I fall asleep, I watch a short comedy. Right now, it is The Big Bang Theory.
One, maybe two episodes, and then I fall asleep.
It helps shut the day down with humor. Laughter has a way of loosening what the day tightened.
The Foundation of Everything
The very foundation of my life, the one thing I could not and would not do without, is my relationship with God.
It is woven into every aspect of my day. I pray. I talk with Him. I check in continually, looking for peace. That peace has become my sign that life is where it needs to be.
That does not mean I am always at peace. But I am willing to check myself. I am constantly looking for ways to grow, soften, and become more aware.
So this is my life, in a quick nutshell.
What are you doing to take care of you?
